Erectile Dysfunction

Cialis Erectile Dysfunction Treatment

One of the hugest concerns amongst Cialis erectile dysfunction medication users is that of contracting STDs. There has been some misconceptions that this drug or other brands of ED drugs increase risk of STD. However, nothing could be further from the truth and this myth needs to be dispelled. The opposite myth also needs to be dispelled and that is that Cialis (a.k.a. tadalafil) does NOT cure or treat STDs!

Besides not being able to treat or cure STDs, Tadalafil also cannot do the following:

It does NOT cure erectile dysfunction.

It does NOT prevent pregnancy (not a form of male birth control)!

It will NOT provide as a source of protection against STDs (sexually transmitted diseases).

It does NOT take the place of using a condom and/or limiting sexual contact with only people you trust.

Additional Myths Dispelled

One of the myths is that middle-aged adults and senior citizens who are past their prime and using Cialis cannot get a sexually transmitted disease. However, even if a man suffers from erectile dysfunction (inability to get or maintain a hard enough erection enough for sexual intercourse) he can still get STDs.

This is very important information for people who are 40 or over who are now engaged in risky sexual behavior. They usually do not think about getting diseases as much because they are more likely to be concerned about getting pregnant (getting someone pregnant). Part of the reason why older adults and seniors do not often think about STDs as much is because they lived in a different time. Perhaps they were born long before the presence of HIV was even heard of. Perhaps they just were married so long and recently divorced and put themselves in a very awkward position.

Maybe they had met a person and was very naive thinking that people always tell the truth-especially a recent widow or a widower. However, you should never take a person’s word for it-that they do not have any diseases. You should think twice about having sex with a person you do not even know. However, even if you do you should make sure you always use a condom. Even then, you should be aware that certain diseases such as HPV can penetrate right through a condom. Therefore, the best sex would be with a longtime partner. It also would be best if you and your partner were tested before engaging in any sexual activity. This is necessary whether or not you use Cialis.
